Art, Friendship, & Cultural Exchange

On July 11th, the Burmese Art Program with Project Worthmore launched and we are very happy with the past five weeks! During the first class I met Klaw Reh. He recently graduated high school this past spring. He doesn’t know where or if he will go to college, but he was happy to be in the art program. After our first class and a bit more conversation, I found out that Klaw Reh is a talented artist and interested in the graphic arts. I then encouraged him to keep pursuing his art and that he has a great talent! The pilot was successful and Project Worthmore is planning to keep providing the program to more kids of all ages. It was a pleasure to organize this program along with three very talented artist. Now that the program has ended, a gallery will be prepared to present the students work. The gallery will be available to the public at Project Worthmore, August 30th, 7pm.
